How We Protect Your Health Data
Your wellness conversations are private. Learn how we encrypt, protect, and never sell your health data.
When you text your wellness coach about what you ate for lunch or how you slept last night, that's personal information. We think it deserves serious protection.
Here's exactly how we handle your data — no legal jargon, just straight answers.
Your Data is Encrypted
Every message you send is encrypted in transit and at rest. That means:
- In transit: When your message travels from your phone to our servers, it's encrypted using TLS (the same encryption banks use).
- At rest: Once stored, your data is encrypted on our servers. Even if someone gained physical access to our infrastructure, your conversations would be unreadable without the encryption keys.
This isn't optional or premium. Every user gets the same level of encryption, free or paid.
We Never Sell Your Data
This is non-negotiable. Your health data is never sold to advertisers, data brokers, insurance companies, or anyone else. Period.
We don't run ads. We don't build advertising profiles. Our business model is simple: you pay for premium features, and we use that revenue to run the service. Your data isn't the product.
We Never Share With Third Parties
Your health conversations stay between you and your AI wellness coach. We don't share your data with:
- Employers
- Insurance companies
- Marketing partners
- Data aggregators
- Anyone who asks
The only exceptions would be if required by law (like a valid court order) — and even then, we'd push back where legally possible and notify you if allowed to.
You Control Your Data
Your data belongs to you. That means:
- You can export it. Want a copy of everything we have? Just ask.
- You can delete it. If you want your data wiped, we'll do it. No tricks, no "we'll keep a backup just in case."
- You can leave anytime. Cancel your account, and your data doesn't linger in some database for years.
What We Collect and Why
We only collect what's necessary to provide the coaching service:
| Data | Why We Need It |
|---|---|
| Messages you send | To coach you and remember your context |
| Health events (meals, exercise, sleep) | To track your progress and generate insights |
| Goals and preferences | To personalize your coaching experience |
| Email address | Account login and important communications |
| Channel identity (phone/handle) | To message you on your preferred platform |
We don't collect location data, browsing history, contacts, photos, or anything unrelated to your wellness coaching.
Our Safety Guardrails
Beyond privacy, we've built safety into the system:
- Distress detection. If a message suggests someone is in crisis, the system is designed to provide emergency resources rather than continuing a coaching conversation.
- Scope boundaries. The AI doesn't diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or pretend to be a medical professional. It stays in the wellness coaching lane.
- Audit logging. We maintain internal logs to detect and prevent unauthorized access.
You can read the full details of our safety policies on our Privacy & Safety page.
Why This Matters
Health data is some of the most sensitive information you have. Where you eat, how you sleep, what you're stressed about — these are things you should be able to discuss with a coaching tool without worrying about who else might see them.
We built Your Wellness Partner with the belief that privacy isn't a feature — it's a foundation. Everything else we do sits on top of it.
